Rear caliper hang up
Rear caliper hang up
Just put new ceramic pads on my 2003 V70 and the rear wheels keep getting hot. I've cleaned all the dust off,but that doesnt seem to be helping. Any suggestions?

Could be a couple things. As you already indicated, if the caliper is getting hung up, it could be holding the pad against the rotor and causing friction.
It could also be the rotors. The particular hardness, metallurgy of the rotors may not be ideal for ceramic pads.

Basically you need to make sure the caliper floats on the pins, so you need to clean the pins good and smear some moli grease on. You can tell by looking at the old pads if the cal was stuck. Also clean the pad carrier with wire brush, I use brass, and smear moli grease on the carrier and pad ends - where they engage the carrier.
