Wife damaged her S60 R

Post by mr.vls »

My wife inadvertantly rolled onto a parking block with her 2004 S60R and the front facia got hooked and pulled the facia away from the body around both headligts. I want to remove and inspect behind the facia for damage and then re-install if possible. But i am not sure where all the attachment points are. What has to be removed for access? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am off on this friday and I would like to determine the extent of the damage and wheather or not a trip to the body shop is going to be warrented.[/img]

I was able to remove the front facia without too much trouble. The inspection revealed one bumber bolt that the threads were stripped. I repaired with a helilcoil and then I was able to re-install everthing just fine.

Good to hear mr vls. Thanks for the update, it always helps "the next guy" whether it's detailed or not. Just knowing that it can be done is enough in many cases.

Bumper Bumper Bumper Bumper......etc. Picky, Picky, Picky. You knew what I meant. nuff said. or should I spell it out, enough said. I noticed you did not offer any advice on removing the front BUMPER cover. Which is what I was looking for! If you are responding to one mis-spelled word on a VOVLO forum, people who IM must drive you nuts!.
