I am getting pretty frustrated working on my beloved s80. My sunroof is not working and key in the driver's lock will not unlock all the doors, though the driver's door would always unlock when I locked it. Both of these conditions happened after i had left the battery disconnected for several days until I got an alternator.
The UEM appears to work just fine, all lights up there are working fine, remotes will work, but nothing happens with the sunroof. I tried to change the driver's door lock actuator with another used one but still nothing. My thought was if I could get a working door lock actuator then I could reset the system.
Any help would be great!!!!!!

With your key remote, cycle it on/off three times. This usually reprograms the UEM

I had this issue when my battery was starting to go bad...
I tried to do the lock/unlock with the remote to reset the UEM and had no luck, still nothing in the sunroof and the door lock will not recognize that there is a key in the outside lock (the lock does work manually though). Any thing else I can try?
Could the car just be seeing both my keys as the valet key and not see a primary key?

Antennae ring possibly?
Not sure about the s80 but my 850's have a central locking relay under the dash on the drivers side.

I looked at the awesome amount of electrical information that this site has for the s80 and it appears that the only relay is a fuse. The fuse also controls the power window, mirror, etc. all of which are currently working. Also after looking at all of his maybe my assumption was incorrect about the driver's door lock being associated with the alarm system.
I wonder if it is a programing issue.
Also I have a question regarding the sunroof. With power going to the uem I am starting to wonder if it is just the switch. Anyone ever have just the switch go out?

Another issue maybe your alarm unit. You may have to replace it. Its found within your front passener fender. Search this site to assist.

+1
Question for all of you: are the door locks completely separate from the sunroof alarm system? Part of me sees the door position would make sense as part of the alarm system (open the door and the alarm goes off). But the other part of me doesn't see the central locking system as part of schematic for the sunroof.
