Hi all,
I have been reading this site a lot after I got my 2004 S80 T6. First the Transmission started flaring on me in 1st and 2nd gears. Dealer says there is black fluid in there. Planning on get that replaced soon (any other advice would be appreciated). Another problem has popped up recently.
The Alarm service light has come on and my sunroof does not work. I know what a lot of you are think right away "replace the siren module". I did the test for this by lock/unlock 3 times and then roll down the window. lock the car, red light blinking, and pulled locking arm and open the door. I got no flashing of the lights on the car other than the red light on the dash flashing still and no siren.
It seems as though the alarm doesn't think its engaged or can fully activate... I don't know because I thought that the test would let me know. so I pulled the fuse for the alarm and tried to open the sunroof and no dice. I am just kinda puzzled. I really don't want to go to the dealer to spend a small fortune. I have 2 goals here: 1. get sunroof to work, 2. get the error code to go away. If i can get the alarm to work as well, that would just be a bonus. I know the UEM is the reason for why the sunroof died, but If there is a way to test the siren and accomplish my goals, I am all for it!
Thank you in advance,
James
