avoid eEuroparts.com - TERRIBLE service

Post by rennvogel »

I recently ordered for the first time (and certainly the last time)from eEuroparts.com. BIG mistake!
I ordered my part on February 9th. Their site said that it usually ships in 1-2 days. There was nothing to indicate that the particular part was out of stock, and since they promptly charged my card on the morning of the 10th I figured it was on the way. I was out of town at the time and didn't return home until the 17th, so I assumed the part would be waiting on me.When I discovered that the part had not arrived and I had received no email informing me that it was back ordered, I called.....twice. Each time I was on hold for over twenty minutes listening to their automated system tell me how important my call was to them.
I hoped that the part would arrive the next day (Saturday) but no luck. Obviously I wasn't going to get my Volvo back on the road that weekend. I checked their site again. The part was list, and I didn't see anything to indicate that it was out of stock. I used their "track order" function and my order came up. It didn't say anything about being back ordered, and under the heading "shipping method" it said "not set". At this point I emailed service customer and explained the situation pretty much as I have here. I also reminded them that I was a first time customer and so far the impression wasn't good. Other than that I wasn't rude or abusive in the mail, and I didn't use foul language or type in caps. When I hadn't received a response or a part by Tuesday, I mailed again. This time I told them that I had tried 3 times previously to contact them and at this point I wanted an immediate refund. Of course I got no response. I thought that I was going to have to dispute the charge, but finally on the 23rd (a full two weeks since ordering) they refunded my money. No explanation. No contact. No apologies.
I suppose things could have been worse, but that was certainly the worst customer service experience I have had in recent memory. Incidentally I checked a few boards and Googled "eEuroparts reviews" and discovered that my experience is not an isolated case.

I am surprised. I have been using eEuroparts for years and never had a problem with them.
