Gents,
Trying to resolve two issues on a 1996 940 Turbo.
LPT, referred to as the B-230FK engine (0,4 bar instead of 1,0 bar boost)
160K km
First, automatic climate control
Intermittently the fan will not function and the AC switch flashes blue.
Because I could usually tap the fan motor and cycle the ignition, and it would work, I was told to replace the fan motor.
I did, but the failure persists. Is this because I didn't replace the blower motor resistor or is this an ACC control panel issue?
Second, windshield washer control
More often than not, when I activate the windshield washers, it shuts off the engine but the washers do function.
Is this a replacement of the washer stalk or the electrical component of the ignition switch?
Which order should I replace and troubleshoot?
I trust I have provided relevant details and previous history, please let me know if I omitted anything.
Best,
Andres
