93 945 non turbo new motor
picked up a motor with 61k however the distributor is in the front ...in my car it is in the back. it looks like I can plug the hole in the block and use the one that's in the car .the "new" motor has a can on the back of the motor where the distributor goes. Any thoughts. The rest looks the same..... injectors ect...

The B230F with the distributor mounted at the front was used in the 240 up to its demise in 1993. The hole for the rear mounted distributor is in the cylinder head plugged with part #946780.
The 740 and 940 have the distributor mounted at the rear of the cylinder head with the hole at the front plugged with part #1836764.
I have had both 240 and 740 and found the 240 distributor to be much easier to work on.
Bill.
