wants to stall at a light and backfires

hi all have a 92 740 wagon rex regina ignition 180,000 miles and still a beauty i have a weird stalling problem i cant figure out when shes running its ok its when i stop at a light the rpms drop to almost 0 and it starts to stall then when i go to take off it starts backfiring and wont move till i nail the gas or play with the gas then she will be ok again just started about a week ago but the weird part is it wont do it everyday and the weather has been the same sunny no rain thanks for any suggestions

Dedrums, did you resolve your problem? What was it?

yes i did a broken spark plug wire.a buddy of mine told me keep it simple check the wires and there it was.thanks for asking
