Check engine light on again

Post by cambiecbc »

Hi, last time the check light on due to A2 154 and fix by replacement of broken rubber joint.
The check engine light on again with A6 154 EGR flow too high. It appears after driving 10KM even reset button.
Search through all forum, no clue to solve. Some suggested to replace EGR without ... or no answer.

Any solution or just replace EGR?
Thanks!

Thanks BKM for quick respond!
These posts have read before by for EGR flow too low not too high.
I don't know the result after cleaning can solute it or not.

I have one good EGR value bought from Ebay. If replace the EGR , can the error A6 154 be fixed?

Sorry cambiecbc, but I am unable to tell you if the new one would eliminate the code. I would put it in and see as the code refers to EGR. I do not as far as I know have an EGR on my car but the EGR in the link is being cleaned so a new one should be able to tell you if that is the problem assuming the new one is good. Sometimes another problem may be triggering the EGR but unfortunately I am not knowledgeable about the Emissions system.

A second hand EGR value was replaced and all codes were reset. The check engine light
doesn't on even after driving over 20Km. The error code of A6 154 seems solved.

Further follow this post and previous post about error code of A2-154, A3-213 214, A6-154;
https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47234&p=232862&hilit=check+engine+on#p232862

All problems and errors solved. The EGR removed showing carbon residues sucked the hole. I cut
the wrench to half for easier into the gap with string taped at the end.

ABS sensors removed and showing very dirty with rust all around. Clean with soap and water including hose flushing the inside
work well.
After reset A3, 1 1 1 comes out. :)
Thanks for all helps!
