Thanks for all the help guys, I am going to take on this job myself. If it takes a long time it really doesn't matter, because I am not driving the car at this time. I really do like the cars looks and ergonomics, and your right if I can get it runnig right I know I'll love it.
I will let you know the outcome of the situation as soon as I address these issues. Thanx, again

I checked on FCPGroten and the pcv kit is listed for $113.25 does that sound like I am looking at the right item? The kit says it includes everthing except the intake hose will I also need that? Also do you think that I should replace any other parts, as like a preventetive maintainance? i.e. clamps, oil trap, plug, sealing sleeve, etc. Obviously I will clean anything that I remove in order to do the job.
Also, is there any specific care that I should take in cleaning the throttle body?
Thanks in advance, Jason.

The kit should include the oil trap (separator), and don't you mean you'll need to buy an intake manifold gasket separate...not an intake hose? The hose clamps you need will also come with the kit. I would also get a Throttle body gasket. As long as you're taking the intake manifold loose, you'll want to clean it and replace the gasket. Btw, you need to know that taking the intake manifold loose means that you'll also be taking the fuel rail off which means the injectors come out. Be extra careful with these. You can damage the tips and then you'll be buying a new set. If once off you notice the 0-rings on them are cracked or dried out, you'll want to buy new 0-rings for them. The only source for these I know of is Slater over on www.volvospeed.com forum. Otherwise, Volvo wants to sell you the injectors with the 0-rings. Might go ahead and buy the 0-rings from Slater as good preventative maintenance. Just a thought, but this way you know you won't go wrong.
