Anyone hear MVS mentioned on 'Car Guys' radio show?

Post by matthew1 »

My good friend today told me he heard a caller mention she was on MVS, ordered a part -- blue box (OEM Volvo) -- from a sponsor, and it didn't solve the problem. Something along those lines. He said he thinks it was two weeks ago.

Any info appreciated.

I poked around the NPR site and they only podcast the current show but they have archives available for 99 cents each.

Possibly show 1210

2 weeks ago - caller 7

Jennifer Mumert , Pennsylvania - 2002 Volvo V70

A vacuum problem? Her car makes a whistling noise when she takes her foot off the brake.

Mary Rawson Foreman Santa Barbara, California - 1996 Volvo 850

Mary Rawson’s car needs brake work. A friend, who has a crush on her, has offered to do it for free--says he’s done brakes on other cars. Should she let him? Tom and Ray say he should be able to handle the brake job, but warn her about being careful not to lead him on.

David Lechner Portland, Oregon - 2004 Volvo V70

David’s been having a power steering problem for the last several months. When he turns left or right, he hears a noise. His mechanic has replaced the power steering pump twice, but the noise is still there. Ray says the problem isn’t the pump-- more likely a seized tie rod end. It’s easy for noises in the power steering system to telegraph through the fluid.

I found the podcasts for the shows here (http://www.trumix.com/podcast.php?mode= ... =1&p=54906) and listened to several of the shows that mention a volvo, but didn't hear any mention of the MVS site...

Oh well, perhaps he was mistaken. Maybe the caller said "a Volvo website" and he mistook it for "Matthews Volvo site"...

Thanks guys.
