Hello,
I am trying to find the location of the 1(upstream) o2 sensor for my 88 volvo 760 turbo I have a haynes manual but it was in the trunk of my car and I guess the weatherstripping is bad cause now it's incredibly moldy and worthless at this point I can't find one for my car online, I'm hoping someone on this great site will be able to guide me, either with a great description on where too look or pictures would be awesome, I know it should be somewhere around the exhaust manifold possibly by the oil filter near the fire wall or it's by the cat. but I cannot for the life of me find it on this cranky old b*tch.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

You will find the O2 sensor in the exhaust down pipe about 4-6 inches from the turbo. It is on the underside of the pipe hiding it from your view from above.

Thanks it was exactly where you said it was very close to the oil filter on the underside where I couldn't see it now I gotta get a o2 socket and get that mofo out of there.
I appreciate it.

I found it quicker to remove the downpipe to change the O2 sensor. But then, I had recently replaced the flanges connecting the converter. You might not be so lucky as to get the converter bolts loose.
