S80 T6 Gear Selector Knob Removal

I need help in removing the gear selector knob on a 2002 S-80 T6. I plan to replace the console, gear selector boot and parking brake boot, but I am unable to determine how to remove the knob. The knob has a faux wood grain panel in it with the gear positions labeled on the wood panel.

Does anyone know how to remove the knob?
