I've been driving spiriting for the last few days as the car was a little slugish and the volvo specialist said it was the driving style that was learned in the trans, the previous owner was very old and he is in an assisted living home hence the sale. The shiftronic was set at about 3k rpm for shifts now it is shifting much higher and the car has more power as well. I think a flush of everything and new fluids should do the trick I've already done the sea foam intake procedure found in the DYI however nothing came out of the tail pipe on ide and just a small cloud on acceleration presumable the flammable sea foam burning though. I didn't have a vacuum tree on mine but did see a vacuum line just above the throttle body on the intake runner. Its past the etm and going directly in the head so no worries about killing the etm I should think.
For the coolant I would like to do a citric acid flush as I did before on my other cars. Its basically food grade lemon skin powder you mix in hot water to dilute and it will get all the calcium deposits that build up on the aluminum parts. On my old benz when I pulled the water pump it looked like the flying dutchman from pirates of the Caribbean. The car only had 80k and never had cooling issues but as you can image worn degraded components however functional may not be optimal and can contribute to future component failure. I need to locate the block drains on this car to do it anyone have ideas?? I see there are no good manuals available that cover the late AWD's am I correct? And no pirated dealer procedures discs as I see in the benz community? I am all for taking it to a dealer or service shop if I can find an honest one that will do the job as I ask but that seems few and far between these days. A coolant flush they charge you usually means they drain and fill it which I dont call so much a flush by my standards.
Just bought a V70XC with 13k miles what does it need??

The PS fluid is green in color; I believe it is the 11S.
The block drain is towards the passenger side of the car at the rear of the engine. The timing belt will be directly to your right.
