changing gear knob!?!!! V40 Topic is solved

my dog ate my gear knob, ive bought a new one and now i cant get the old one off, ive got all the chewed rubber off and i cant screw it and i cant see a grub screw? any ideas?? - help much appreciated before i kill the dog - thanks
