Was there an answer for the 2007 XC70? My 112,500 service indicator is up and I had that done at Jiffy Lube. How can I turn off the message? I tried:

1) Make sure doors are closed
2) Hold in the trip odometer reset
3) Turn key through positions I and then II,
4) Hold there and when the message goes away,
5) turn the key off.
6) Take key out of ignition. Put key back in and start car to verify reset worked.

But that did not work. It did work on my 99, but not the 2007.
07 V70 XC (mine!)

with reference to reset s60 2004 service message ,
1-close all doors and windows.
2-turn key to position 1.
3-ensure odometer set to t2 (and has miles shown)
4-press and hold t2 reset button ,until miles disappear,
5-wait for beep and yellow triangle on dash illuminates ,then release reset button.
6-if you try and fail and get 045 after you try this means reset was not successful .
just try again ,ensure you have miles on again by going round the block, timing is key.
it worked for me,
good luck

How can something so simple get rid of something so irritating.
Let me buy the person who was the founder of this knowledge a very large drink.
Many many thanks,
A very happy S60 T5 owner

I have tried the following method:
1. Turn key to Pos I and hold the trip odometer button
2. Turn key to Pos II and waited for the "audible beep"
3. Turn the key to the "off position"

When I turn the key off I get a number in the message window of something like "045". When I turn the key back on I get the same message of "Time for Regular Maintenance". My oil change was about 1,000 miles overdue so it has been changed but still no luck with the light.

Any ideas?? Please help!!
I have been having a similar problem with my 02 XC70 including the 045 message. What I figured out is that I was not turning the key far enough into "position II." What makes this tricky is that you can get the beep in "position I." This leads to confusion. Turn the key until the warning lights on the dash illuminate. You will notice that the beep in position II is different than the beep in position I.

Tried this on my 2001 S60 T5, and while I got the audible warning, upon igntion it didn't reset the service light. Have tried all the procedures listed above so now coming down to two final options: 1) take it to Volvo or 2) remove bulb....
