I have a 2000 Volvo S40 and the ABS light is on and the Speedometer is 14% off (Reading High). The Volvo dealership informed me that my Front Right Speed Sensor was bad but did not have any in stock. After paying them $300 for their trouble, I took the car home and replaced the sensor with a new one. The light stays off for .4-.6 miles and then comes back on. I have brought it back to another dealership recently and they said I have a bad sensor, I have swapped the sides with NO CHANGE.
The Speedometer is reading high, I have confirmed the tires on my car are the CORRECT size. I measured the distance via mile markers over a 100 mile stretch of road and after an exact 100 mile measurement, it was 113.8 on the odometer and trip meter. I measured the speed associated with the Speedometer and I am almost 9 MPH higher when compared to my GPS.
I have noticed during my reading there are some issues with the ABS Control Module, but everyone else issue is theirs quits, mine has never quit but just reads HIGH... Does anyone have any thoughts as to a fix for my car?

Been reading that theres some wires in a loom that runs underneath the radiator and they tend to get damaged making the AbS go nuts. Give them a check..
Do you also have the DSA light on ( if you do have dsa)
