My car surged and decellerated on the highway or whenever. The tach's would go sky high then down for no reason too. I felt so terrified, it was like the engine didn't know what gear it was in. The problem was a sensor switch on the accelerator pedal. I feel as if it led to the demise of my transmission a little too early .. 75,000 miles on my 1995 850 GLT
