Hello, so i had a lower miles transmission installed a few months ago, when engine is cold, the car barely moves in "D", i have to wait till it warms up then it kicks in ! any ideas???? i have used Trans X, Lucas Stop leak/conditioner etc. it has a slight leak, but the other thing is SMOKE/STEAM shoots out of the transmission dipstick tube? are the clutches burning do to low levels of oil??

Any unknown coolant loss? Could be coolant getting into the oil cooler in radiator. There is a glycol (coolant) test strip that NAPA and Volvo dealers will have to test ATF for coolant presence.

Hi, no i have no coolant loss. The transm. does lose oil , (used transmission results :)
