Problem with eEuroparts

Post by It Broke Again »

Hi,

If you don't live in the USA, be careful buying "Rebuilt" units from eEuroparts.com

I am in Australia and recently purchased a Bosch Rebuilt Alternator for my S80 T6. I installed it the next day and found within 15 minutes I had received a faulty unit. It had cost $175 + core $65 + freight $65.

After speaking to the customer service dept, I was told to return the unit. I explained to them that it would cost $181 to return the unit using the lowest priced service which was Australia Post. As I was not going to pay the price of another one to return it, I explored if any other options were available and received a prompt NO.

So I have been taken for $240 (I was prepared to wear the core charge). I believe the eEuroparts.com management needs to review their practices when problems such as this occur.

Several other options instead of NO could have been offered, for example, me paying them another $65 and send the item back using their account with their shipping Co or Refund a portion of the cost so it may be put towards its repair here.

I believe that my problem is probably is a rare one, so it surprises me that they would not have some sort of policy in play for when something like this occurs.

So beware, if you live outside the USA of their inadequate service. I hope any prospective foreign customers prior placing any order, reads this and realise what their future transactions may end up costing. The management of eEuroparts.com also needs to consider their future reputation.

Regards
