2004 XC90 AC/Heat Question

Post by o2bcejones »

I have a 2004 XC90 with a little over 200,000 miles on it. Still going strong for the most part. I did have to replace the transmission, but it was under warranty. I also had that problem with the AC not going off when the car was turned off, but we figured that one out too. Now I have a problem that no one can figure out. For about the last year I have had no control of the temperature regulation of my AC or heat. Now, the AC works but it is all one temperature(full blast) so the car gets cool in the Summer. The heat works (full blast) so it does get hot in the Winter( but not on my feet...only face). When it gets too hot I usually have to crack a window or the sunroof to breathe. The most frustrating part comes in Spring when the controls spontaneously switch from heat to AC at 60 degrees. If it's below 60....all heat, if it's over 60.....all AC. You can only imagine days where it goes from 59 to 62. I would love to get this fixed but don't have another $150.00 for someone to hook my car up to a machine and tell me they can't find anything wrong. Please Help!!
