v40 gdi wont rev above 4000 rpm

Hi new to the forums hope you can help
my 2003 v40 gdi wont rev passed 4000 rpm
sometimes from cold its fine but if i turn it off then restart it the problem comes back
any ideas

Have you checked for fault codes?

Work was good - retirement is better.

1996 850GLT 2.5 20v Estate Manual.

Had same problem. Replaced highpressure fuelpump. Problem solved.
