I was driving at about 10-20 MPH today and all of a sudden my brake pedal started to vibrate when I hit the brakes. It went away after I took my foot off the brake pedal and never came back. But, now I have the ABS light on. When I scanned it I got a check engine code for Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) and an ABS code for Left Front Speed Sensor.
What is the problem here? Is it the front left speed sensor or the ABS control module?
Thanks for your help

Update: So the ABS light went away and came back and went away again. It not on right now. I really want to know if my ABS system is working. Is there a way to test that? Any ideas on why the light is coming on? Its been pretty hot outside, around 80F, not sure if that is causing anything.
Any help is appreciated.

It's almost always the ABS module. See ABS Module or Wheel Speed Sensor? Nothing wrong with checking out the sensor though.
If the dash light is not on, you have ABS.

I want to be sure with out a doubt that its the ABS module and not the ABS sensor because the sensor is only $80 where as an ABS module is $200. I don't want to replace the ABS module and realize that its the sensor or vice versa.
How can I diagnose this correctly?
Thanks for all the help.
