Re: 850 window problem

Post by Mr Bevin Shirley »

1995 850 T5 wagon ~ 400thou kms plus. I really love this car and as a pensioner, I do most repairs myself to save costs.
I regularly have problems with the windows master switch in the central console and know the switch intimately. Assuming all joints solders are intact, my problems are usually with the rockers inside the switch that get bent from forcing these down to make the windows work! I fiddle with the shape of the rocker and eventually get it to work for a while.
Does anyone know the correct profile for the little rockers? What profile/shape should they be? This info would be really useful to me and many others! Your help would be welcome down here in South Africa where spares are hugely expensive!

Really appreciate Matt starting this site!
