'90 740 gauge issues and more

Post by n1cjs »

I have a 90 740 Turbo wagon that is starting to give me problems. About 4 days ago I lost all power from the engine. Towed it to my mechanic and they replaced the mass air flow sensor and they said I was good to go.
This morning I started the car and it idled very rough for about 20-30 seconds and seemed to be fine after. I then noticed I had no readings on my temp gauge or fuel gauge. I ran the OBD and came up with no codes, just the 1-1-1.
Not sure where to go or start from here. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

UPDATE:

Well this morning I fired up the car and she idled rough, but only for a short time. And both the fuel and temp. gauges worked fine. Scratching my head....

Could it just be the "computer" relearning?? And if so, would that take a couple of hours of driving time??
Hmmmmm.....
