Yes, the hood alone cost nearly $1k ...all could be done for between $4-5k with Volvo parts, but the way insurance works, if it is 75% of value it is totaled. I am probably just going to sell parts add i will use the airbags/dash on the 2004 v70 i just bought.
If somebody had access to salvage parts, all could be done for about $1500. ...so, it depends on your circumstance if you want to buy it. Engine, drive train etc wasn't touched. I was stopped on the on ramp waiting to merge onto a local freeway, the person in front started to go so i gunned it...looked back up and noticed he stopped. I slid right under neath his big truck, maybe going 10 mph, but my bumper didn't hit so it didn't stop the damage to radiator, hood, grill, lights. Airbags didn't deploy, add i was already hitting breaks and not going fast enough.
