1988 760 turbo A/C Relay location

Post by 88760RICH »

I have a very intermittent a/c and blower fan problem. When it works, it is perfect, and will be fine sometimes for weeks. Sometimes it will not work at all; sometimes if I shut the key off and restart it will back to life. I cannot seem to find where the a/c relay is located, supposedly it is white in color. Thank You for advice.

A/C relay is integrated into the blower control behind glove box on top of the case. It is at a 45 degree angle and has a black cover. Some large gauge wires go into it for blower and several smaller gauge wires in another connector.

I am still confused over the location and the correctness of the new relay ? I am enclosing several photos to help clarify. I removed the glovebox assembly and removed and disassembled the black box at 45 degree mounting. It is a printed circuit board and not a location for this new relay. Also shown is the main relay board located behing the center console,no a/c relay at this location. Incidentally, ran a few stop & go errands today and a/c did not work at all, green lite surrounding a/c switch blinks when system is inop.. Also orange lite surrounding recirculation button is on solid(no blinking). Hope these photos help and Thank You.

After re-reading the jimmy57 reply, I think I finally understand that he is telling me the entire black module is the culprit. Is this correct and my grey relay is completely wrong? Does the green light continually blinking point to this module as well?
Thanks again.
