My 1991 960 B6304F has a noisy transmission when it cold until fully warm.
this sounds exacly like bad lifter on a old 850 but this is the tranny.
This is a high millage car with original drive train, it shifts great exept when its just started and i brake it dosent want to go out of lockup and flushed the fluid and converter about 20000 miles ago
the car has about 450000miles on the whole thing.
Im planing on flushing the tranny again in about 3000 miles.
but are there any input on what could be the cause and fix to this problem?

Sounds like the pressure may be getting weak and likely wear to the pump with such high milage or internal leaks . A synthetic fluid might help or (I hate to recommend mechanic in a can ) an additive to thicken the fluid .
With the miles it's worth a try or a used/rebuilt tranny if it gets worse and you feel the car will go for a while to make it pay .
