more airbag problems *sigh*

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

more airbag problems *sigh*

Post by D4v1dz »

Recently fixed my s60 and now on to fixing my s80.

Getting the following codes

SRS-0044 Side impact protection (SIPS) bag, front right Resistance too high
SRS-00D0 Seat belt buckle, driver signal missing
SRS-00D1 Seat belt buckle, passenger Signal missing
SRS-0014 Driver airbag, stage 1 Resistance too High
SRS-001C Driver airbag, stage 2 Resistance too High
SRS-00BC Side impact sensor, left rear Faulty ID
SRS-00C1 SIDE impact sensor, right rear faulty ID

I have tried troubleshooting by changing the module from a different s80 and get the following codes

SRS-0044 Side impact protection (SIPS) bag, front right Resistance too high
SRS-00D0 Seat belt buckle, driver signal missing
SRS-00D1 Seat belt buckle, passenger Signal missing
SRS-00DA

So im just wondering what you guys suggest? Im about 80% certain the problem is in the module? Should I just do a SRS reload on the original module or do a reload on the second module that displays less codes?

Really need help to fix this problem quickly, Thanks!

SRS modules have been very reliable. They are not prone to problems in all my days fussing with Volvos.
Was anything touched on the S80? What year is it?
I'm till puzzled why you sent the SRS out on the S60 if you have VIDA.
The SRS modules on Volvos get cleared/erased after the parts deployed in accident and any wiring issues are repaired and they go on down the road.

everything has been touched in the s80. The original was in a huge car accident and the whole body was gone. We moved the motor, the inside, the outside, JUST EVERYTHING into another body and now are fixing out the kinks.

Could it be that the SRS module need a reload to fix the problems?
