V70 Warning Message

Post by HUH »

I have a 2001 V70 and I recently got a message that displayed as "Performance Reduced" in the message window, and the car would not respond to the accelerator pedal at all. I pulled over and turned the car off, and when I restarted it about a minute later, the car was fine. Has anyone got an idea what could cause that message and that behavior? Thanks.

I had the EXACT same problem in a toll booth on the highway. It is your powertrain system - the throttle body needs to be replaced. Covered by warranty under 70,000 miles.

I have been plagued by problems since I bought this car. I am planning to get rid of it as soon as this problem is fixed. Volvo is no longer reliable!!!
