hi guys,
I get 1 click only when braking and when accelerating, I've replaced my brakes couple months ago and I know they didn't use Volvo parts and it was fine without issue until last week. I can understand the 1 click noise when braking but when I am driving and removing my foot from the accelerator and then back on it, I hear the 1 click again. It sounds very much like the click I am getting when I am trying to brake.
Is it possible they are both linked to the brakes? I just don't understand how removing my foot off the pedal and depressing it again can trigger that click sound? oddly enough, both clicks started to happen about the same time
what do you think?
Thanks
Clicking Noise When Accelerating
I had a similar problem and solved it by changing the axle bolts with an updated version... Take a look at this thread (towards the end) https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 91#p234191

Thanks owl for your reply,
The fix you posted is more like when shifting between P and R which I do have the noise and plan on buying those bolts from the dealer, however I am not sure as its the same problem as when i am taking my foot off the pedal and depress it again. I get similar noise and i am scared as someone mentioned it might be the transmission is going bad. My trans is very smooth and doesn't slip and not issue other than that.
did you have that problem when taking your foot off the pedal?

My noise had nothing to do with shifting between P and R. I first noticed the noise when braking (at low speed), and then realized that it was also doing whenever I took my foot in or out the pedal (at low speed). It only happened once the car was warm, I was sure it was the transmission, but it was just a loose bolt.
If it is not a T6 it would be odd to have a transmission problem.

thanks owl,
it's a very good to know that as this is exactly my problem and I was afraid the transmission is going especially I had already replaced an angle gear and a sleeve and plus I still have to replace an A.O.C pump I was starting to lose faith in the car.
by the way, I knew about the T6 problems and I ended up getting the 2.5T and I currently have 170K on it.
Thanks!
