Hello,
im new to the forum, i have recently bought a volvo and now i am having a few problems.
I have a late shape 2004/5 S40 T5 with 42k miles no the clock in great condition, no modifications (never been modified). approximatly 4 months ago an air leak was identified and some gaskets were replaced (i think they were described as metal shim type gaskets), that solved the problem which had presented itslef only as an odd sound. since then (approx a month later) the engine warning light appeared with the message reduced engine power. i had a mobile guy come out and read the fault as an overboost error, i believe he cleaned the boost control solenoid and sent me on my way, he had not found a problem and just put it down to dirt. but since then it has happened again 3 times over 3 months, it always recovers and everything runs fine and sounds fine.
any ideas as to what the cause could be??
regards
adam
