satellite module in 09xc70 will not download software

Hello,
I have a 2009 Volvo XC70 with 26k miles on it. I bought a Satellite module on my own (NEW OEM in Volvo box) and brought to my dealer to install and to load the software. My car was prewired for the satellite radio. So, The car was there for 2 days, then they call me yesterday and say they can't get the satellite module to download the required software. They didn't know how to move forward so they called the Volvo tech line or Volvo Engineering Line (not sure which one they said) and are waiting to hear back from them.

Any idea what is going on? Does this indicate a BAD satellite module? Seems like this procedure is pretty stratight forward (1. attach and plug in satellite module and 2 do software download).

Turns out I had the WRONG module for my chassis car. Need a different one. So, this new/opened part is now in the classifieds. If it works for your car, it is a heck of a deal!
