Before anyone starts, yes i know about the kit ipd and everyone else sells to fix the power antenna mast.
But I don't think I am even getting proper voltage to the antenna. With the radio on there is a constant 12V going to the antenna (via 2 of the 3 wires). However, the antenna switch doesn't seem to do anything. I just replaced the radio with an aftermarket (no radio to begin with when I bought it). I did not connect the blue power antenna wire from the new radio to anything as I assumed the dash switch would raise and lower the antenna.
So my questions are:
1. What kind of voltage should I be seeing at the antenna wires (in the trunk) when toggling the antenna switch and from which wires should they be coming from?
2. Am I supposed to wire the blue power antenna wire from the aftermarket radio to anything? If so, what color wire is it?

You need that blue antenna wire connected to the proper wire in order for the power antenna to work. The switch is just to put the antenna down for times like the car wash.

Do you know which wire to connect it to?

1989 740 would be Green/Grey. 1991 740 with external amp would be a Green/Grey wire and an Orange wire. I don't have the wiring diagram for 1990 740.
