I keep a relay in the glove compartment just in case.

If you jump as above, simply turn the key and crank the car, if engine runs fine, then your fuel pump is good.

Now the culprits are either:
- bad relay (I know you changed the relay with a supposedly good one!)
- bad ignition switch
- something wrong with the wire from battery ---> ignition switch

How do you KNOW it's not getting power?
Just listening or jumping stuff around is
a tail chasing method of troubleshooting.

If you don't have a meter, get one. They're cheap.
Complete wiring diagrams are right here at MVS.
And there are plenty of great members here and
on other sites, so ask lots of questions.

Electrical stuff is only mysterious
if you don't try to learn it!

No priming noise, and my light isnt lighting up when plugged in and turning the key / trying to start.

What light are you talking about? You mean all of the lights on the dash?

Dumb question, but are you sure you reconnected/reseated properly the electrical connector on the fuel pump? I was just in there this weekend, almost buttoned it up without plugging in the connector.

Also as I read through the thread, not sure for the main reason to suspect fuel supply, is it just the no-start condition? Did you check for pressure at the fuel rail up on the engine? Do the spark plug wires get spark when you are cranking it over with the key?

Like suggested, check for voltage at the fuel pump, right now if there is no pressure at the rail, then I would suspect the pump.

But overall it does sound like a weird variation of a bad electrical portion of the ignition switch.

not sure how to check pressure, spark.

We suspected fuel pump because it was not priming, no noises, and the car just stopped while driving.

Problemo solved,

Turned out to be an electrical issue, fixed the issue, regained power to the 103 relay, popped a fuse or two, replaced them, and BAM were good to go.

Whena fuse blows, there is a cause. Maybe your fuel pump is on the way out?

That is a possibility.

no fuses were blown at the first "fuse testing" or even the second round of fuse testing.

Took a little bit but with the help from you and some of the others it was quick to rule out the wiring, fuses, and the pump.

Once I jumped from + to 87 and heard the new pump prime, it was a matter of figuring out why there was no power going to pin 15.
Did another 30 minutes of work while on the phone with a friend who was guiding me through various steps and procedures, and got power back to pin 15. then noticed the ign fuse was popped, replaced it with another new one and I was golden.

Replaced the ign fuse, pump fuse, pump, pump relay, various other fuses, and still had no power to the pump originally.

Once again, thanks for your help, and thanks for giving me the knowledge now to be able to help someone else through my own mistakes, learning, and fixing.
