how to take it off especially where the back muffler and the resonator connects. looks like it goes up and over the axel?

I have it jacked up; but not on a lift, thanks... I want to do a swap from my parts car to my daily driver that has issues...

It would be easier if you have access to a cutting torch. You need to heat the pipe joints to get them apart.

Nah I would just buy a good chain cutter and clamp a new joining piece between the 2 pipes. Getting old pipes off is a real bear of a job and by the time you wedge something in there to pry them apart you'll bend them out of round and they'll leak.

thanks - if I could save the muffler and resonator i would be happy... If I do that would an exhaust shop be able to bend the pipe over the axel and make the proper connection?

well i sawsalled it. it's off - it was a bear on my back and 3 or 4 blades later. I cut the back muffler is ok .. the middle one is ok but the pipes on both ends will need to be welded and a bent pipe over the wheel well. we'll see what these exhaust guys say next week. i wish i had a lift and torch... maybe someday...
