95 940 emissions fail

went thru emissioon and failed for presure test thats when they presurize tank fallowed lines to carbon canister and replaced any thing suspect .have smell of fuel when u get on throttle good car is not turbo anyone have any ideas getting ready to drop tank

Don't drop the tank. Access to the fuel lines and fuel pump/gauge sensor are made possible by an access cover. Access cover is located behind the rear seat (in the trunk on sedans).

Right, the tank has a big round deal under the carpet of your trunk/bed of wagon. There is a seal on it that fails. If you have already replaced all the parts on the evap system... then check that seal. Have you checked the evap lines? I had a short chunk of rubber hose on mine with no clamps, and it was very cracked. very leaky...
