Hello Everybody,
I have a Volvo 740 GLE from 1990 (B200E engine, non-turbo, manual transmission). I think, during winter, some windscreen-washer fluid has frozen inside and the washer tank started to leak. Nowadays, the fluid drops out from the tank in a few days.
Fixing the tank is easy, but first I have to take it out from the car and I don't know how to start it.
As I can see, first I have to remove the air filter box, because it is on the top of the washer tank. How can I remove that thing first? There are some rubber holders, and only one screw near to the front of the car. Shall I screw out that screw? And then how can I remove the filter box? And then the tank?
I have a Haynes Volvo repair manual, I tried to find this thing in it today morning, but I couldn't. However, if it is inside the book and someone can tell me the chapter or page number, that would be also a great help for me.
Thank you everything in advance,
Tamas

Hi again,
today there is a national day on Hungary, so I had time for tinkering and I solved the problem.
First of all, Haynes manual does not say anything, how to remove the air filter housing. Not so nice from them...
Secondly, removing the housing is easy but not straightforward:
- you have to remove air intake pipe. It's just a hose and just pull it out.
- Lubricate the rubber things with some liquid soap,
- Pull down the air filter box cover.
- Strongly pull up the box. The rubber things down will release the box.
- Move the box to the direction of the cooling fan. The rubber things sideways will also release the box.
These guys also made the same:

One more thing: do not use WD40 for lubrication, as they say, only liquid soap. WD40 (just as any kind of mineral oil product) can damage rubber things.
Removing the windscreen washer tank is easy and straightforward:
- Open the blue cap of the tank.
- Remove the input pipe: simply pull it out from the hole, where the blue cap was.
- Detach the electrical connection of the washer pump.
- Detach rubber hose at the pump.
- Remove the tank. It is not fixed with other things.
