Hi.
I have a 2010 S80 V8 with the Xenon headlights. I have noticed that on the passenger side the projector lens (the lens actually inside the headlight not the plastic cover) is crystal clear, however the driver side is actually opaque/cloudy. I don't think this is normal and since I am under warranty I was planning a trip to the dealer.
Now I know some cars do have opaque projectors and some have clear but I have never heard of a car with a different type on each side.
Anyone else noticed this at all? Is it just lazy manufacturing on the part of Volvo installing what ever lens they had laying about? As the lens is actually inside the headlight assembly then the only way to sort it is a full new assembly which I am assuming will be £600 - £700 and not something the dealer will be keen on fixing under warranty. The problem is that it makes the headlights look like they are totally different colours due to the way the light is focused.
