FCP Groton Went out of their way for me.

Post by iselloil »

Recently I had to replace the radiator in the wifes 99 V70.We purchased a Nissen radiator from a local shop.Last week the heater core went out, and we had to drain the radiator.The Nissen Radiator uses a special 1/4 turn drain plug, not sold by anyone.Not even the supplier who I bought the radiator from.I called one of the suppliers who some from this site use,and wont be named and they did not care to help.I spoke with Dan Clayton at FCpGroton,and explained that the part was not a standard Volvo drain plug, and I could not get the part.
Dan went out of his way,called Nissen,Found the part,then emailed me a picture to confirm the part waas correct.He then ordered two drain plugs for me,at more than fair price.My hats off to Dan and FCP for the great service.I'll be doing 100% of my volvo Business with FCP from now on.

iselloil, thanks for the post. Reviews/recommendations like this are great for others who may be new to buying replacement parts or those who haven't found a favorite online parts shop. FCP has been supporting MVS for years and years.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

That's good to know! I will keep Dan Clayton and FCP Groton in mind for parts. Thanks for the tip.
