have a volvo 960 and was attempting to put engine temp sensor in located at the rear of engine. well unfortunate for me i cross thread the bolt and now it leaks from that plug. wondering if anyone else have had any problem with what im having and how did you fix it. any recomendation for a fix will be appreciated.

Repair the threads with an insert?

Replacing the housing requires removal of the inlet manifold (or was it removal of the inlet manifold requires removal of the housing....?). In any case access is challenging. Buy a thread repair kit and try this first.
