1987 740 gle wagon intank fuel pump

How do I access the intank fuel pump on this vehicle?

Access cover behind the rear seat. The cover is under the floor panel that folds. You will find 3 nuts at the front of the floor panel that need to be removed. The panel then slides forward. The panel is probably secured to the floor with adhesive. After removing the floor panel a cover with 4 small bolts can be found. Remove the cover, you will find the fuel gauge sender/ pump assembly.
