Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Lube cams with vaseline if it won't be run for a while otherwise just a little motor oil.
The cams require a lock tool as the exhaust cam sprocket with cam phaser (CVVT) has spring inside that will be loaded to when you time the engine.

Thks jimmy I know the slots are offset on the cams I just want to make sure they are in correct position before I pull the top cover down on the head. I am in the process of fabing a lock tool.IMy crank mark is right # 1 piston is down in cyl looks like halfway. Both cam gears are off. thks Had to replce oil trap and clean out the hose and cooler as the cooler had oil in it!!
Anyone have any pics of the cam slots at the rear slot postion before cam lock goes on.As I stated this came to me as a basket case and I'm in the dark on cam position Thks

Per VIDA

Install the intake camshaft. Ensure that the groove at the back of the camshaft is above an imaginary center line
Position the exhaust camshaft. Ensure that the groove at the back of the camshaft is below an imaginary center line.

Its on the forums but sometimes can be hard to find. Sometimes you can use a lot of the 850/V/S/C 5 cylinder write ups as a reference for the T6, use your best judgement though!
Keep us posted on the reassembly. The cam pulley bolts are torqued to around 88ft lbs from memory so make sure the cam lock tool you make is up to the job!
