Quick question about Volvo S40 Ignition Switch

Post by Polkadotsss »

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knows whether the entire dashboard has to be removed to open the ignition switch section? Having trouble opening it and don't want to put too much pressure/force on and break anything.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. :D

I'm assuming the entire dashboard must be opened, though it seems difficult on the passenger side, opened up the screws at the bottom but unsure if there are some others that I am not seeing? It's not opening all the way :/

If you want to remove this ign switch you do not need to remove the Dash. But its still a pain. You need to remove the radio/climate controls. You can also remove the instrument cluster to help reach some screws.
