PLEASE HELP! Have error code Adaptive Fuel trim Too Lean

PLEASE HELP! Have error code Adaptive Fuel trim Too Lean

I just bought my son a 91 740 Turbo and we are getting the Check Engine Code 2.3.2 which is Adaptive Fuel Trim too Lean or Too Rich at Idling.

Can anyone tyell me what this means??? The car will start but has no power when I set on the gas.
