Crankshaft bolt
I have a '92 940 Gl. The timing belt lost 13 teeth and I am trying to change the belt myself. I am having trouble loosening the Crankshaft bolt. Is the bolt reverse thread or normal? How can I get this bolt loose? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

13 teeth?... Hmm...
This is an interference type engine; I have trouble believing you did not bend some valves in there...
The bolt that holds the CS pulley and sprocket is RH-threaded, you will need an impact air tool to break it loose, or you can put a DIY counterhold on the pulley, and just undo it with a ratchet.
(Some people use the 'Mickey Mouse method' with the starter, however, I would strongly oppose to that!)

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

The B230F is a non-interference engine so should have no bent valves. The 16 valve B234F is an interference engine but this is only in the 940GLE.
Several methods of taking out the crankshaft bolt have been discussed on this forum in the past. The safest, and in my opinion, the easiest method is to buy the special tool for holding the crank shaft. This is available from our sponsor IPD. However, if you are good at metal work or know someone who is you can make your own tool following the instructions on Brickboard.
Bill.
