Off-topic: AA battery trick
Long story short: these big lantern batteries are powered by 32 AA batteries, so you can save money.
I haven't done this -- I just saw it and am reposting it. I suspect the AA batteries are the "heavy duty" AA batteries that are actually the weak old-school types. But there are 32 of them. "Quantity has its own quality."

Interesting. I wonder if an Energizer brand lantern battery is filled with alkalines or heavy-dutys. I might buy one and see.
