Decoding a VIC...

Post by jetsofly »

Hi guys, here's a straightforward question.
I'm using this chart (http://new.volvocars.com/ownersdocs/199 ... c1999.html) to figure out my Volvo's pedigree.
The numbers I am using come from the affixed VIN/VIC plaque on the inner lefthand fender.

The code i have from the plaque is 8 75 X 2 541936 and then in column 2 appears a 31

so it reads 875X254193631

help?!

My vehicle is a '99 V70 AWD. Trying to figure out engine code and model designation.

Eh? I get the joke but what's the VIC then?
My VIN for reference YV1LW56D4X2541*** (giving me the B5254T engine)
