I'm Sorry for taking so long to get involved here. I am pkuevor's boyfriend/mechanic.
Initially, we both thought that the noise was emanating from the dash, so my first assumption was that it was the blower. But the noise appears solely as a function of vehicle speed, NOT blower speed, vehicle direction, acceleration, etc.
On a recent drive, I had a chance to sit in the passenger's seat and observe the noise. I am very confident that the noise is coming from the roof between the leading edge of the moonroof and the windshield. This, in turn, makes me almost sure that the cause is the moonroof. Maybe a seal is allowing some component to act like a reed valve? That is the sort of noise I am observing.
Are there common moonroof-related noises?

Is there a wind deflector on top of the car for the sunroof? the double stick tape can wear out and wind can cause noises. have you banged around on the headliner to see if you reproduce any noises? there are also plastic inserts to cover the sunroof tracks that can rattle around.

I'm confused , she said the heater (fan?) wasn't working when it was cold . Is there and actual bad air leak into the car from the roof that actually makes the car cold ???
I don't have much experience here, but I had a similar issue with a loud noise coming from the sunroof area. The seal for the top of the windshield started to come loose on my 850 and would make a sound very similar to what your video showed. Check to see if any of it is able to be peeled back anywhere. In my case, mine was about a 4" strip near the middle of the car.
Here is a picture of it, in case my description wasn't very good!

I'm not sure about your heat issue, but I think this may help you solve the loud noise when you are driving.

I will poke around that area. You are awesome.helohero wrote:I don't have much experience here, but I had a similar issue with a loud noise coming from the sunroof area. I dont think there any any air leaks into the car. Just that strange noise. The heat is now working again...idk if it's from how cold it was getting but I still want to make sure I get it fixed lol. Driving in 11 degree weather is not fun...nitehawk55 wrote:I'm confused , she said the heater (fan?) wasn't working when it was cold . Dear pkuevor,
With risk of repeating myself:
The sound in your video is similar to the sound I experienced when the drain in the ventilation assembly in my 850 was clogged .
In the video, when driving over bumps in the road, the noise disappears shortly and then comes back, - as I experienced it.
There is no explanation to why it the noise only appears when driving above a certain speed, but that was my experience too.
When the temperature is below 0°C, the water in the ventilation assembly freezes and prevents the fan from rotating.
Fix:
The car should warm to allow all the water in the ventilation assembly to be liquid (read = the fan should be able to run, freed from the ice, and then add some time with the motor running to allow all ice to be melted).
Remove the cover below the dashboard in the passenger side foot well.
Remove the plastic cover on the right side of the center console.
Maybe the carpet has to be moved aside as well, - can't remember.
You will find a plastic tube that leads from a tube stub in the bottom of the ventilation assembly to a tube stub in the bottom of the car.
NOTE: If I'm right, you have to be ready to receive a lot of water....
Remove plastic tube from the ventilation assembly.
Find a piece of soft metal wire, 2 - 3mm in diameter (I'm not good at inches, but the thickness of a match or thinner will do fine, - I used a metal hanger for clothes).
Trim the length of the wire to a foot of so.
Insert the wire into the tube stud in the ventilation assembly tube stub and move it around (you might need to make a bend in the end og the wire to get a result).
Now water should be released from the ventilation assembly tube stub... catch it if you can
.
I had to replace the plastic tube on the ventilation assembly tube stub and blow into the tube before real action took place, - head down in the foot well and blow and expect water to pour into your face.
Good luck

Sorry I totally forgot to respond. Yes we did figure it out. Helohero had it right. It was the gasket that seals the wind shield in. I think I got too excited scraping off ice last winter...
Thank you for all the help everyone!
