1998 V70R Silver/Black 199K

Post by dwbf1 »

Selling my 1998 V70R. Aggressively priced to move it quickly.

1998 V70R Wagon
Silver/Black Suede Interior
199K Miles
Automatic
Premium sound (no third speaker), Winter/Climate package
Rear Spoiler
Tinted rear windows and rear windscreen
Dealer maintained through about 150K
VIN YV1LW5240W2420020
Carfax available upon request
Asking: $2900 or best offer

All of the following replaced/serviced in the past 500 miles:
ABS Module - replaced w/Midwest ABS module, lifetime warranty Midwest ABS
All four door lock actuators replaced
New spark plugs (OEM), cap, and rotor
Driver's side hub replaced
Front end checked and completely tight
Lower engine mount replaced
Timing Belt replaced
PCV System serviced
Oil changed
Transmission flushed
Vacuum lines replaced where necessary
4-wheel alignment performed

Other positives:
Good compression
Transmission shifts properly
Does not burn or leak coolant or oil
No valve ticking or other noises
Turbo builds boost
Rear self-leveling Nivomats not leaking and work properly
Looks great, body is straight, R bumper is not cracked
Tires are Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 A/S on OEM 16" "Meteor" wheels, have approximately 60% tread remaining
All the electrics work including seat heaters, sunroof, rear wiper, SC-900 CD Player (!!) and rear defrost

The bad:
Driveshaft was removed by a previous owner, but included with the car. I never got around to putting the system back together. Car is currently FWD.
A/C does not blow cold - believed to be evaporator, only holds a charge for a few days. Blower works fine as does the heat. Receiver/drier is brand new.
Wear on driver's seat bolster
Missing headlight wipers
CEL is on, has a leak in the fuel/evap line (does not affect driveability)
Gas gauge reads about 2 gallons high (so it reads 10 when you only have 8, for example).
Header panel has been repaired
Few scratches/scrapes/stone chips, small (3") ding on the lower passenger side door, and a few small paint bubbles, what you might expect from a 14-year old car (overall 8/10)

I'll also throw in whatever spares I have for the car.

Wow, that looks really nice. GLWS.

Where in Michigan are you located and can you post a pic of the engine bay?

Thanks! I can get a picture of the engine bay, but there's really nothing extraordinary about it, lol. I'm located in the Detroit area, but willing to drive a little ways if anyone from the region is interested in taking a look.
